Novak Djokovic goes head to head with Matteo Berrettini in the men’s 2021 French Open quarter finals
One not to be missed tomorrow in the men’s 2021 French Open quarter finals in Paris with Serbia’s Djokovic battling against Italy Berrettini kicking off at 7PM GMT (8PM Euro time).
World number 1, Djokovic is in fine form, in the lead so far in the quarter finals, scoring straight set wins against Pablo Cuevas, Tennys Sandgren and Ricardas Berankis during the first 3 rounds.
Rafael Nadal’s astounding performance saw him come away with 2 straight-set wins at Roland Garros yesterday in the fourth round against Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
Berrettini, ranked ninth in the world, came out on top so far, winning more than 70% of his service points throughout the tournament, with 81%, 72% and 76%, being the only player to record such astounding results.
Berrettini defeated Taro Daniel by four sets in the first round, going on to defeat Federico Coria with a straight sets victory in the second and with another in the third round, defeating South Korea’s Kwon Soon-woo in straight sets.
Six time grand slam ace, Boris Becker believes it’s “advantage Matteo Berrettini” over Novak Djokovic. It’s going to be a close game tomorrow, for certain, but our bet is on another stonking from Djokovic.
- Rafael Nadal at 8/15 (stake £100 and win £153.33
- Djokovic at 9/2 (stake £100 and win £550)
- Stefanos Tsitsipas at 5/1 (state £100 and win £600).
It’s a toss up between those three winning the men’s French Open, but again, out money’s on Djokovic.
